Annual Children’s Holiday Party - Saturday, November 26, 2011
The Clinton Board of Selectmen is pleased to announce that it will be hosting the Annual Children’s Holiday Party on Saturday, November 26th from 1:00 P.M. - 3:00 P.M. at the Clinton Town Hall Fallon Memorial Auditorium located on 242 Church Street.  The event is free and all are welcome to attend.  The Board of Selectmen host this event through the generous donations of local area businesses.  Once again this year, Dunkin Donuts is the corporate sponsor.  The annual party offers a sense of community and brings holiday cheer to the families that attend.

Entertainment will be provided throughout the day. Magician Benjamin will be performing magic tricks, Clarity the Clown and her friends Noodles and Petunia will be creating balloon animals.  Santa and Mrs. Claus will bring Frosty, Rudolph and Christmas Elves along to help celebrate the holiday season!  Join the music, magic and fun by planning to attend to sing karaoke with Mrs. Claus, receive a Holiday Caricature sketch and a Holiday Loot bag to enjoy.  There will also be a holiday raffle where each child will have a chance to win a bicycle provided by Apple Country Market or a McDonald’s Family Meal Deal Coupon.  Please remember to bring your own camera to get a photo with Santa and the Holiday Characters.

The event would not be possible without the help of the Clinton Fire Department, who provide a grand entrance for Santa and holiday friends using the fire trucks, the Clinton High School Excel Club, the local Girl Scouts and community volunteers.

Please be sure to save this important date!  Happy Holidays!

Northeast Snowstorm - Governor Deval Patrick issued a state of emergency for all communities in Massachusetts in response to the worst October snowstorm in Massachusetts history that caused numerous power outages and siginificant damage.  In the Town of Clinton, there were several street closings due to debris from downed trees and about half of the town lost electrical power for several days.  An emergency shelter for Clinton and Lancaster residents seeking assistance was made available during the power outage at the Atlantic Union College Gymnasium located on George Hill Road in Lancaster.

National Grid has restored power to Clinton customers and the Department of Public Works is working diligently to clear debris from all streets around town.  The DPW will remove debris that fell during the storm from trees on private property if the material is pulled to the edge  of the roadway.  For more information, call the DPW at (978) 365-4110.

If you have a concern about the condition of any trees or power lines in your neighborhood, please contact either the DPW or the Clinton Police Department Dispatch Center at (978) 365-4111.
